Compact Measurement Apparatus for 3D Spherical Read Range Characterization of Chipless RFID

In the literature, chipless RF identification (RFID) tags are mostly characterized at normal incidence, where 3D spherical reading zone of RFID has not been characterized. this paper, compact measurement systems for characterization scatterers in read range presented. Customized support structures realized commercial multi-probe system StarLab from MVG to construct bistatic and monostatic systems. A graphical user interface (GUI) is programmed control perform postprocessing measurements. Owing these setups, characterizations three scattering objects presented: an aluminum sphere, a nondepolarizing rectangular loop based tag, depolarization Elementary Particle (REP) tag. The setups capable characterize any lightweight scatterer.
